The Golden Era of the Washington Post

Updated: Jul 3, 2021

King Farm Neighbors Village (KFNV) welcomed former Washington Post columnist and journalist, Bob Levey to its first ever virtual speaker event. For KFNV’s first event, it was a great success. There were approximately 18 participants who listened and watched via Zoom to Mr. Levey recount some wonderful behind-the-scenes stories about his 30+ years at the Post. One notable anecdote was how Mr. Levey’s desk was between Watergate journalists Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein and how Mr. Levey overheard and participated in end-of-the day conversations about the Watergate story. Mr. Levey also wove into his presentation a preview of his new novel, Bob Felder, Candidate, https://www.bobleveypublishing.com/, which is a story that is set in Montgomery County. At the end of the event, there was an engaging question and answer session, where Bob gave, among other responses, his views on the state of journalism in the United States. Bob proved to be a great speaker and raconteur. It was a pleasure hosting Bob, especially as KFNV's first virtual speaker.
